Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Knoxville, TN team in a hybrid role. You will perform study and design work for projects, conduct field surveys, review codes, and execute electrical calculations. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential, with collaboration across disciplines and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for facilities and related projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform study and design work for projects including facility evaluations, feasibility studies, design, cost estimating.
• Conduct field surveys to identify site conditions.
• Perform code review and ensure compliance.
• Carry out engineering calculations including electrical loads and conduit sizing.
• Coordinate with other disciplines’ design work.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical drawings.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite effectively.
• Layout electrical systems and contribute to a design team.
• Learn quickly and adapt to new standards and requirements.
• Manage multiple projects with prioritization and communication.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform study and design work for projects that may include existing facility evaluations, feasibility studies, design, cost estimating, and similar functions.
• Field survey to identify site conditions.
• Code review and compliance.
• Engineering calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity.
• Coordination with design work of other disciplines.
• Highly proficient with AutoCAD/Revit as it pertains to the preparation of electrical drawings.
• Competent in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to layout electrical systems.
• Able to work as part of a design team in a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adhere to new standards and technical requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
• Effective written and oral communications skills desirable.
