Job summary

SkyIO, Inc. in Greer, South Carolina, is seeking a senior electrical designer to deliver detailed electrical construction drawings and IFC drawing sets for industrial projects.

You will coordinate electrical drawings with mechanical, process, instrumentation, and automation teams, and leverage AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit/BIM to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• AA or BS in Electrical Engineering or similar education.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Minimum 7+ years of industrial electrical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and industrial electrical design standards.
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills.

Job description

• Expert level experience with Auto-CAD including creating and modifying detailed electrical construction drawings and engineering packages.
• Ability to create drawing sets from concept through Issued for Construction (IFC).
• Experience coordinating electrical drawings with mechanical, process, instrumentation, and automation disciplines.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is highly preferred.
• Experience with Revit or BIM coordination is a plus.
  

Required Technical Skills

• Expert level experience with Auto-CAD including creating and modifying detailed electrical construction drawings and engineering packages.
• Experience developing:
• One-line diagrams
• Three-line diagrams
• Power distribution layouts
• Ability to create drawing sets from concept through Issued for Construction (IFC).
• Experience coordinating electrical drawings with mechanical, process, instrumentation, and automation disciplines.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is highly preferred.
• Experience with Revit or BIM coordination is a plus.
