Job summary

H&H is seeking an Electrical Designer for our Boston office to perform electrical design and inspection, prepare contract plans and calculations, review drawings, and support Project Managers through a mix of office and fieldwork.

Required ABET-accredited BS/BE in Electrical Engineering or EE Technology; coursework in Power and Control Systems; CAD experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation; hands-on experience preferred. Salary range $77,000–$85,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS/BE degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Hands-on experience is preferred
• Coursework in Power and Control Systems and familiarity with electrical controls for motors

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design & inspection (low/high power distribution, lighting, industrial control systems)
• Prepare contract plans, computations, engineer's estimates, inspection reports, and memorandums
• Review drawings and suggest changes
• Research design options and document findings for Project Managers
• Job duties involve a mix of office and fieldwork

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design & inspection (i.e. low/high power distribution systems, industrial control systems, lighting, etc
• Prepare contract plans, special provisions, calculations, engineer's estimates, inspection reports, and technical memorandums
• Review drawings and recommend necessary changes
• Research design options and document findings for Project Managers
• Job duties will involve a mixture of office and fieldwork

Requirements

• ABET-accredited BS or BE degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Hands-on experience (preferred)
• Coursework in Power and Control Systems
• Experience with electrical controls for electric motors is a plus
• Experience with CAD and drawing software, AutoCAD and Microstation (preferred)
• Good technical writing and communication skills

Benefits

Salary range-$77,000 - $85,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
