Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Baltimore is seeking an Electrical Designer to support the design of electrical and lighting systems on a variety of projects. The role requires ensuring designs meet local codes, safety standards, and regulations.

You will visit sites, carry out inspections, and contribute to project delivery and documentation. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of electrical design experience across different project types, is comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment, and has an EIT,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical design experience across multiple project types.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
• EIT, PE, or LC license preferred.
• Strong technical design skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Their work spans a range of sectors, giving the team variety while maintaining a steady flow of returning clients, and they’re now looking to add an Electrical Designer to their Baltimore team.

What you'll be doing:

Support the design of electrical and lighting systems across a variety of projects

Make sure designs meet local codes, safety standards, and regulations

Work closely with internal teams and external partners to keep projects on track

Visit sites, carry out inspections, and put together clear reports

Contribute to project delivery, documentation, and team support

Help maintain a strong focus on safety and good working practices

What we're looking for:

10 years+ of electrical design experience across different project types

Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment

EIT, PE, or LC license is preferred

Strong technical design skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and teamwork skills
