Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Design Verification Engineer will be a member of the Avionics team, focusing on the design verification of the various electrical functions of high-performance communication systems. You will ensure proper data collection, reviews, and demonstrate the system requirement verification. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Test SW (Python scripts) to test proprietary hardware. These scripts will interact with standard lab test equipment, execute automated functional checkout tests, analyze pass/fail criteria, and generate comprehensive test reports. You will be part of a multidisciplinary avionics design team and work closely with PCBA design engineers, harness engineers, FPGA and embedded SW developers as well as system and integration engineers. This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging opportunity to work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You’ll have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve.
You should be comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before. You are expected to maintain requirements traceability during testing and solve integration and test problems in real time.
