Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Wisconsin seeks an Electrical Design & Test Engineer who will design electrical circuits, develop schematics, and validate products from concept to production.

This role combines product and tester design, developing test processes, qualification plans, and coordinating safety-focused testing with the engineering and quality teams. Bachelor’s degree required; strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as an individual contributor in electrical engineering.
• Experience with circuit design and schematic development.
• Experience with test process development and product validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor within cross-functional teams.
• Nice to have: experience with power electronics.
• Familiarity with schematic design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical circuits and schematics to support new and existing product design.
• Identify and evaluate substitute electrical components based on specifications and requirements.
• Perform schematic updates and support PCB impact analysis for component changes.
• Develop tester designs, test processes, and validation strategies for electrical products.
• Create and execute qualification and validation test plans with engineering and quality teams.
• Coordinate electrical testing with technicians and lab resources while adhering to safety standards.
• Analyze, document, and communicate test results with recommendations for next steps.
• Obtain supplier quotations and support sourcing decisions for alternate or new components.
• Support staged product build cycles including Alpha, Beta, and Gamma releases.
• Develop and execute product cutover and implementation plans.
• Update BOMs, manage ECNs, and support manufacturing implementation.
• Collect and analyze post-production feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Prepare electrical schematics and design documentation and test plans.
