Job summary

Jacobs in Corvallis, Oregon is seeking an Electrical Designer to contribute to water and wastewater projects and river facilities. You will be part of a team delivering 3D BIM designs from concept through drawings and specs, collaborating across disciplines in a hybrid office setting.

The ideal candidate has an AA in CAD/Drafting or similar, hands-on Revit/BIM experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation. Autocad/Bentley skills and Bluebeam QA are valued.

Qualifications

• AA degree in CAD/Drafting or similar technical field.
• Trained in AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation software.
• At least 2 years working experience in Revit or other 3D modeling software
• Experience with BIM processes and Autodesk or Bentley parametric design
• Proficiency setting up views, sheets, and schedules for construction documents.
• Proficiency with PDF quality control reviews in Bluebeam.
• Proficiency coordinating with other disciplines in 3D.

We're looking for an Electrical Designer aligned to our Corvallis, Oregon office. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and on river facilities projects where you will play a role in the entire design process including but not limited to preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, problem resolution, drawing and specification production. Here's what you'll need

• Associate’s degree (AA) Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree.
• Trained in Autodesk Autocad or Bentley Microstation software.
• At least 2 years working experience in Revit or other 3D modeling software
• Prior experience with BIM processes and parametric design software Autodesk or Bentley
• Proficiency setting up views, view templates, sheets, and schedules for construction documents.
• Proficiency printing full sets of construction documents and performing PDF quality control reviews in Bluebeam.
• Proficiency with design coordinating with other disciplines parametric and geometric content in 3D.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Autodesk Revit Certified Professional
• Prior experience actively designing low voltage and communications systems for buildings
• Experience in electrical and low voltage systems design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation

The base salary range for this position is $54,100.00 to $108,900.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
