Job summary

General Dynamics – Bath Iron Works is seeking a Supervisor, Electrical Design to lead a team of 20+ electrical designers across scoping, development, production, and change incorporation for ship design. You will ensure quality models and drawings while developing staff.

The role requires a BS/AS in Electrical Design or BIW Apprenticeship and prior leadership experience in engineering/manufacturing; strong communication and reading drawings skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/AS in Electrical Design or related field and 3+ years in leadership in engineering/design/mfg.
• Graduation from BIW Apprenticeship Program with leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in engineering/design/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: promote proactive safety and ensure safe workplace conditions.
• Program Execution: lead daily operations and ensure tasks meet schedule, budget, and quality.
• Operational Management: conduct performance feedback, staffing, and progress reporting.
• Team Collaboration: coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Production, and other disciplines.
