Job summary

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works seeks an Electrical Engineer for Waterfront Engineering to support development, manufacturing, integration, and testing of shipboard power, lighting, and control systems. The role covers technical leadership across design and field teams, collaboration with Navy customers and vendors, and ongoing documentation and cost-out initiatives.

A BS in EE or related field is required; advanced degrees and PE are preferred. U.S.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree is required.
A Master's degree in Engineering, or a P.E. is preferred.
Working knowledge of Power and Controls Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

Develop ship power and controls system revisions/updates across engineers, subcontractors, or the customer.
Perform requirements analyses, decomposition, and resolve conflicts.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, testing, and vendor equipment.
Interface with Navy customers, Design teams, and procurement to support dock and sea trials.
Complete technical reports and presentations and drive process improvements.
