Versigent is seeking a Design Release Engineer to drive the design, release, and validation of vehicle Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) wiring in our Troy, MI facility. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, cost targets, and schedule adherence.

The role requires 5+ years in EDS wiring, experience with component release, and strong problem solving, risk management, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate DFM/DFT to optimize manufacturability and testing.
• Manage cost, mass, and timing targets for projects.
• Perform cost, mass, and timing analyses throughout development.
• Implement and manage design changes per change control.
• Create and analyze 3D models and drawings with SolidWorks.
• Use Altium for PCB layout and schematic capture.
• Apply ANSYS for FEA/CFD to evaluate performance.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams on design changes.
• Provide onsite vehicle build support as required.
