Job summary
Woodstream seeks an Electrical Design Engineer III in Lancaster, PA to lead electrical design for new product development. The role focuses on research, development of electrical components, and managing advanced prototyping and testing with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness.
The position requires 5+ years in consumer product development, embedded firmware experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of consumer product development experience.
- Experience writing embedded firmware code is required.
- RF product design experience desirable.
- IoT and machine learning knowledge desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and refinement of electrical components and prototypes for new product development.
- Collaborate with Sourcing and Manufacturing to integrate components and ensure smooth production transitions.
- Design electronics hardware and firmware, modify schematics/layouts, and address obsolescence and new functionality.
- Develop testing methods meeting regulatory and functional requirements and define tolerances for critical components.
- Benchmark competitor products and communicate Woodstream’s advantages and improvement areas.
