Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an Electrical Design Intern for Fall 2026 in Fort Collins, CO. The role involves supporting power conversion, metrology, and control projects across sites with an experienced team in a lab and office setting.

Candidates pursuing MS/PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics/Controls are preferred; GPA > 3.25 is noted. On-site work with competitive hourly pay and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Lab environment: debug circuits and verify spec compliance.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office; ability to learn tools quickly.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Join a core team to meet schedule, cost, and customer goals.
• Assist in development, testing, and debugging prototype power supplies.
• Analyze test data against specifications and performance targets.
• Interface with internal departments to ensure cost and schedule goals.
• Design analog/digital circuits, EMI filters, and power circuits.
• Develop and implement control algorithms.
• Design and analyze magnetic components.
• Model and simulate devices, circuits, or systems.
