Job summary

GOTAFE seeks a student engineer to support electrical design, including lighting, power distribution, and communication systems with fire alarm integration. You will prepare documents from concept to detailed design and assist in reviewing shop drawings.

Role requires site visits to verify conditions and observe progress, plus strong communication skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering is expected, with familiarity in Revit MEP and SKM Power Tools preferred.

Qualifications

• Students enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with engineering design software such as Revit MEP and SKM Power Tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of lighting, power distribution, and communication systems including fire alarm systems.
• Preparation of documents and reports from concept design through advanced technical design documentation.
• Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
• May visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, often requiring physical walk-throughs.
