Job summary

GOTAFE in Dallas seeks an engineering student to support electrical design of lighting, power distribution and communication systems on real projects. You will prepare design documents from concept through detailed design and assist with shop drawing reviews on site visits.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Engineering, have strong communication skills, and familiarity with Revit MEP or SKM Power Tools is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Students enrolled in or working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with engineering design software such as Revit MEP and SKM Power Tools is preferred.

• Preparation of documents and reports from concept design through advanced technical design documentation.
• Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
• May visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which often requires physical walk-throughs.
