Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support design and development of Automation Solutions products in the Twin Cities area (Shakopee, Chanhassen or Eden Prairie, MN). You will work with mechanical, software, and systems engineers, capturing circuit schematics, running simulations, and performing bench testing to validate designs.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering with 0 years of experience, and the ability to work full-time in-person.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s in engineering.
• Zero years of applicable experience.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, software, and systems engineers—to support the design and development of Emerson’s Automation Solutions products from concept through production.
• Utilize industry-standard electrical design tools to capture circuit schematics and perform simulations to ensure design integrity and performance
• Perform a variety of electronic testing using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators to validate and troubleshoot designs.
• Research and develop new ideas, tools, and technologies that contribute to product innovation and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate Emerson systems and electronic circuits at both the functional block and component level to gain a deeper understanding of system architecture and performance.
