Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s, Vocational, or Bachelor’s degree in Design & Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Design, or a related field.
• Experience with 3D programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or Navisworks, and familiarity with the latest operating systems.
• Ability to visualize and conceptualize in a 3D environment.
• Proficient in email communication and electronic meeting requests, as well as spreadsheets, databases, and PDF software.
• Capable of professionally representing Kiewit to owners, contractors, vendors, and external contacts.
• Must be a US citizen with documentation for badge access.
• Pass a security questionnaire and background check appropriate to position duties.

Responsibilities

• Report on project progress and issues to Lead Electrical Designers.
• Apply engineering codes at national and local levels.
• Develop and review 3D models and plan drawings for electrical deliverables.
• Create schematics, one-line drawings, and concept sketches from engineering inputs.
• Maintain and organize master drawing sets, revisions, and originals.
• Complete as-built documentation using RFI forms, ECNs, and red-marked drawings.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with design team members.
• Check designs for consistency, safety, operability, and maintenance requirements.
• Resolve comments from checked drawings and update electrical cable schedules.
• Model electrical components from vendor submittals and electrical designs.
• Support project development with miscellaneous technical tasks.
