Job summary

SC Engineers in San Diego, CA seeks an Electrical Design Engineer with a BS in Electrical Engineering to support electrical system design for commercial buildings. You will work with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to develop coordinated, code-compliant designs for San Diego and Southern California projects.

Responsibilities include designing power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems; preparing drawings in Revit and AutoCAD; performing load, voltage

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum three years of electrical design experience within AEC.
• Understanding of electrical distribution and lighting systems.
• Familiarity with California building and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial buildings.
• Prepare electrical drawings, plans, schedules, diagrams and details using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare electrical specifications.
• Perform load, voltage drop, short circuit and other analyses as directed.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and technology disciplines.
