Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer with strong Revit experience to join our growing engineering team in Richmond, VA.

You will support design and development of modular buildings and data center infrastructure, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and fabrication teams. The role requires an official Project Engineering license/certification to sign, seal and certify engineering plans and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience as an Electrical Designer.
• 3+ years of electrical design experience.
• Extensive experience with Autodesk Revit software.
• Experience creating electrical components and families in Revit.
• Knowledge of MCCs, switchboards, PLCs, data centers, CDU/PDU systems, wiring diagrams, interconnection schedules, and NEC.
• Proven track record working with people, teams and projects
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate sound problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available to work assigned schedules

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for modular buildings and data centers.
• Create client issue drawings and detailed fabrication drawings using Revit.
• Develop electrical Revit families and custom electrical components.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnection schedules, and panel schedules.
• Design and coordinate MCCs, switchboards, panelboards, PDUs, CDUs, PLC systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, plumbing, and manufacturing teams.
• Establishes good working relationship and foster positive communications with other team members, management, vendors/suppliers and clients
• Keeps up-to-date on industry technology, trends and developments
• Performs other duties as assigned
