Job summary

Virginia Economic Development Partnership in Bristol, VA is seeking an Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical (ME/EE) to design and engineer our product lines. The engineer serves as a technical resource for designers and drafters, answering questions and guiding the development process.

The role involves coordinating with marketing, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring accurate information for orders, and maintaining schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Two-year technical degree in the discipline acceptable.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the lead engineer or engineering manager.
• Provide direction to designers and draftsmen as needed.
• Comply with company policies and procedures; lead by example.
• Interface with marketing, customers, manufacturing, quality, regulatory agencies.
• Participate in quote and order reviews; provide input on quotes and orders.
• Review release drawings and BOMs prior to sending to customers.
• Assist with R&D efforts and cost-saving projects as instructed.
• Meet master schedule deadlines for assigned jobs.
• Adhere to and comply with all company policies; work overtime as required.
