Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced Electrical Design Specialists for a short-term project. You will apply hands-on industry experience to analyze, evaluate, and solve complex electrical design and system-level problems across various applications.

Responsibilities include developing and reviewing electrical designs, performing load flow and short-circuit calculations, and validating designs against standards. A degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with strong power systems knowledge and

Qualifications

Hands-on industry experience in electrical design.
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of power systems and electrical design principles.
Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and protection coordination.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM, EPLAN or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical designs based on requirements and system performance.
Design and review electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and components.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and specifications.
Perform calculations including load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and sizing.
Evaluate trade-offs, identify improvements, and validate approaches against standards.
Review designs and calculations against project requirements and engineering standards.
