Job summary

GTI Fabrication in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for modular infrastructure projects, including BESS, GenSets, and industrial skids. You'll produce schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring docs, and production-ready designs.

You will collaborate across mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams, perform load calculations, generate documentation, and support FAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting. Up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience developing electrical schematics and engineering documentation.
• Experience with electrical CAD software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.
• Understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems supporting modular infrastructure and industrial equipment.
• Develop single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules.
• Support integration of switchgear, transformers, generators, batteries, UPS systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and monitoring equipment.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical engineering, controls, manufacturing, and project teams.
