Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead power systems design for mission critical data centers and healthcare facilities in New York City. The role requires 6–10 years of experience, a ABET-accredited bachelor’s in electrical engineering, and an EIT/PE license is preferred.

The position offers hybrid work in NYC with cross-disciplinary collaboration across teams. Responsibilities include SKM modeling of MV/LV systems, short-circuit studies, protective coordination, arc flash

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5-10+ years of experience designing power systems for mission critical projects, data centers, or healthcare facilities.
• EIT or PE license desired.
• Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power systems for mission critical environments, data centers, and healthcare facilities.
• Develop and maintain detailed electrical system models (Medium/Low voltage) in SKM.
• Perform short-circuit studies and protective device coordination studies.
• Conduct arc flash analyses and prepare arc flash labels per NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584.
• Collaborate with design engineers, commissioning teams, and site operators to validate studies.
