Job summary

Centrus Energy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Minnesota. The role involves designing motor control centers, switchboards, and panelboards for critical power distribution within nuclear technology applications.

You will work with senior engineers to size, document, and commission power-distribution and motor-control equipment, using ETAP or EasyPower tools where needed. A CAD background and U.S. security clearance are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with electrical design concepts and documentation.
• Familiarity with MCCs, control panels, and low-voltage distribution under 1000 V.
• Experience with electrical analysis software (ETAP/EasyPower) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout MCCs, switchboards, and panelboards for facility power systems.
• Create and update single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Assist in selecting equipment: contactors, drives, transformers, UPS, grounding components.
• Perform load checks and basic calculations under senior guidance.
