Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer 3 to design and analyze complex data-processing, communication, and electrical systems for our radiation detection products.

You will work with a cross-functional team, develop test methods, and produce PCB layouts and schematics using Altium Designer. You will mentor junior engineers, support production and field teams, and help advance engineering best practices while traveling up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant design experience.
• Experience with low-noise analog circuits is a plus.
• Practical experience in radiation detection is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support development and sustainment of radiation detection products in a cross-functional team.
• Create electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, interconnects, and assembly drawings.
• Design embedded digital and analog circuits for radiation detection products.
• Develop data-processing and communication circuitry between subsystems.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Collaborate with field service and manufacturing to diagnose electrical issues.
• Uphold company values and code of ethics.
