Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking engineers to identify replacement hardware, perform design activities, and generate and release drawings for electronics systems. The role involves lab testing, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration across CM, software, and systems engineering.

The position requires a STEM degree (or higher) and 2+ years of relevant experience, plus strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in STEM or advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience generating technical documentation for configuration control and change management.
  • Experience writing verification test plans and reports.
  • Experience using lab tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, analyzers).
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify replacement hardware candidates and run trade studies.
  • Perform preliminary and detailed design activities.
  • Generate drawings and manage drawing releases.
  • Hold design reviews and resolve action items.
  • Conduct testing in the lab for ECPs including device-level bench testing and system tests.
  • Interface with Configuration Management, Software, Systems Engineering, and Supply Chain.
