Job summary

Interface Engineering, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer/Designer I to support MEP projects with mentorship and a hybrid work schedule (2 days in office).

You will perform preliminary electrical design, layouts, load calculations, and documentation coordination under a senior engineer, while developing building-code knowledge and collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

• BS, Electrical Engineering.
• 0-2 years' experience in MEP/AEC building design.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to perform multiple functions in multi-deadline changing operations.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary electrical design and layout.
• Document delivery coordination.
• Preliminary load calculations.
• Researching commercially available equipment.
• Design drafting.
• System design with direction from mentor and/or senior engineer.
• Provide exemplary customer service to internal team members and clients.
