Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Associate) in Oak Ridge, TN. You will develop detailed design packages for electrical and instrumentation systems, support procurement and field activities, and troubleshoot facilities with a focus on control and monitoring processes.

The role requires an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, potential MS/PhD, and compliance with DOE O 426.2A clearance requirements. Onsite work with collaboration across disciplines is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering required.
• GPA requirements: 3.0/4.0 (Bachelor), 3.3 (Master), 3.5 (PhD) or engineering experience
• DOE O 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied after employment; U.S. citizenship and security clearance criteria apply

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality detailed design packages for electrical systems.
• Provide engineering procurement and field technical support for design implementation.
• Troubleshoot and assess plant systems; prepare drawings, schematics, and calculations.
• Generate design documents including bills of material, work statements, and specifications.
