Job summary

PACCAR, a global leader in commercial vehicles, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer for Kenworth. You will design and release electrical systems, integrate components across engines and transmissions, and validate through testing at assembly plants.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent engineering degree is required.
• 3+ years of design & release experience in automotive or commercial vehicle electrical systems is desired.
• Experience with wiring harnesses, ECUs, switches, and driver input devices.
• Experience with wiring design using Mentor Graphics and 3D CAD tools.
• Knowledge of DC power distribution, protection, fusing and routing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and release electrical and electronic components and systems for heavy commercial trucks.
• Integrate engine, aftertreatment, transmissions and ABS/ESP/ACC electrical features into Kenworth/PACCAR vehicles.
• Plan and track validation testing of components.
• Support product launches at vehicle assembly plants.
• Ensure quality and reliability of all electrical/electronic components.
