LeoForce seeks an Electrical Design Engineer in Sterling Heights, MI, to lead electrical power system design for healthcare, mission-critical, and data center facilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant implementations.

The role requires a mid-level engineer with strong experience in backup power, NEC/NFPA, and AutoCAD/Revit proficiency. Join a leading electrical contractor delivering high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years electrical engineering experience in commercial/industrial/healthcare/mission-critical environments.
• Experience designing electrical power distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of backup power systems and critical electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and electrical analysis software.
• Solid understanding of NEC, NFPA, FGI, Energy Codes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution systems for diverse facilities.
• Size and specify transformers, switchgear, panelboards, UPS, generators, ATS, feeders, and protective devices.
• Perform load, short-circuit, arc flash studies, and energy code reviews.
• Develop electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Design lighting systems and perform photometric analyses using AGi32.
• Ensure NEC/NFPA/FGI and energy code compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and project teams.
• Support projects through construction and respond to field questions.
