John Deere in Dubuque, IA is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for the Excavators (DEX) portfolio. The role focuses on electrical component and harness development, design integration, and collaboration with global teams to bring programs into production.

You will diagnose electrical issues, contribute to design guidelines, and support manufacturing and quality teams. Travel up to 25% is expected; onsite position with strong growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• 1 or more years of professional product development engineering experience.
• 1 or more years creating and leveraging electrical schematics with knowledge of key electrical concepts and design principles.
• 1 or more years of integrating electrical components (controllers, sensors, wiring harnesses, etc.) into vehicle assemblies within 3D modeling software.
• Prior experience working in a global based environment, collaborating on the resolution of technical issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%.

• Create and maintain product design guidelines and design books for DEX.

Your Responsibilities

What Skills You Need

What Makes You Stand Out

• Prior experiences in every phase of the EPDP design process.
• Familiarity with modeling tools for harness routing and drawing creation within Creo and Capital Harness.
• Identifies emerging issues, determines root cause, and drives corrective action.
• Works with suppliers of electrical components and/or harnesses.
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve field issues.
• Experience in excavator design or product verification & validation.
• Experience in the design and development of electrical systems for off-road equipment.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
