Konecranes is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in New Berlin, WI to lead electrical design, hardware selection, and software development for crane control systems. You will work on electric overhead and portal cranes for Region Americas, with a focus on electrical architecture and debugging.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical/automation engineering with PLC programming, ladder logic, and motor control experience. Travel ~15% to customer sites and manufacturing plants is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical or Automation engineer working with motion and motor control products preferred.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting motor control circuits utilizing electromagnetic devices and variable frequency drives (VFD's) is essential.

Responsabilités

• Design, testing and commissioning of crane control systems.
• Schematic design, system layout, automation programming, and documentation.
• Generate system architecture and automation network drawings.
• Project planning, scheduling, and design execution from inquiry through start-up.
• Travel to meet with customers and witness testing.
