Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design of electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings.

The role emphasizes strong MEP and Revit experience, from design through construction. Responsibilities include developing electrical and technology system designs, creating construction documents with Revit and AutoCAD, and coordinating with architectural and engineering teams while ensuring NEC and NFPA compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical design, electrical engineering, or building systems experience.
• Strong proficiency with Revit is required.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of commercial building electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NEC and NFPA standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• FE/EIT certification, progress toward PE licensure, RCDD, LEED, or related credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and technology system designs for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Create construction documents and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Design electrical power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Work with systems including fire alarm, telecommunications, security, and other building technologies.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and engineering teams.
• Participate in field investigations and periodic construction site visits.
• Review equipment submittals and assist with construction-phase activities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable NEC, NFPA, and building code requirements.
