Job summary

United Integrated Services (UIS) is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design low-voltage power, lighting, and building systems for commercial, industrial, and advanced technology projects. You will collaborate with the Taipei design team, clients, and contractors to produce construction-ready designs.

You will create BIM models, perform electrical calculations, and ensure designs conform to NEC and local standards while coordinating with US site teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or Architectural Engineering (Electrical focus).
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical building system design within an engineering firm or design-build environment.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP; familiarity with AutoCAD; Navisworks experience and clash detection.

Responsibilities

• Create complete, accurate 3D BIM models, single-line diagrams, lighting layouts, power distribution systems, and fault circuit calculations in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate spatial routing and electrical support with Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Architectural disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Perform load calculations, panel schedules, voltage drop calculations, and basic short-circuit analyses.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with NEC, NFPA, IBC, and local standards.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, participate in design coordination meetings, and conduct field reviews as needed.
