Job summary

Safran Seats seeks an Electrical Design Engineer 2 to contribute to aerospace seating projects. You will read wiring schematics and system diagrams, apply basic AC/DC theory, and communicate with multiple organizations including customers. You will work independently on layout and design studies and revise specifications under senior guidance.

Required: a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field, 2+ years relevant experience, and CAD proficiency (Pro-E, Catia V5).

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, EET, MET, ME, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent technical degree, or 12 years related experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum of 2 years related experience required
• Competent user of CAD tools Pro-E and Catia V5 and data management systems
• Knowledge of electrical installation, system integration and design principles
• Ability to derive multiple customer standard electrical system requirements
• Ability to generate layouts and design studies
• Basic manufacturing process understanding
• Ability to communicate in writing and operate office equipment

Responsibilities and requirements

• Must have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, EET, MET, ME, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent technical degree, or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum of 2 years related experience required.
• Competent user of incumbent CAD (currently Pro-E and Catia V5) and data management systems.
• A working knowledge of the principle of electrical installation and system integration and design
• Ability to understand and derive multiple customer standard electrical system requirements
• Must be able to provide complicated lay-outs and program design studies.
• Must have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
