The next generation of US manufacturing is going to need more than factories.

It needs high-performing electrical infrastructure behind every facility, lab, warehouse and production environment.

As battery recycling, battery materials, energy storage and advanced manufacturing continue to scale, the electrical systems supporting these facilities need to be designed properly from day one. Power distribution, medium voltage infrastructure, lighting, grounding, raceway, communications, code compliance and construction-ready drawings all become critical to keeping projects moving.

That is where this role comes in.

We are supporting a major US battery materials and energy infrastructure business that is looking for a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of electrical design across industrial, office, lab, warehouse and recycling facilities.

This is a senior technical role for someone who can act as Electrical Engineer of Record, lead electrical design from concept through construction, and produce code-compliant, buildable packages that support major EPC infrastructure projects.

You will work across medium voltage systems up to 34.5kV, low voltage distribution, lighting, grounding, communications, power studies, RFIs, submittals, site inspections and commissioning support.

This role would suit someone who wants to be more than just a drawing producer. You will be a technical owner, design lead and key engineering voice across complex industrial projects that support the future of battery materials, recycling and energy resilience in the US.

What you will be doing:

• Owning electrical design packages from concept through construction
• Designing medium voltage feeds, low voltage power distribution, lighting, raceway, grounding and communications systems
• Serving as Electrical Engineer of Record on assigned projects
• Producing permit drawings, construction drawings and IFC packages
• Performing short circuit, arc flash and protective device coordination studies
• Completing cable ampacity calculations and supporting electrical equipment selection
• Leading NEC, IECC and NFPA code reviews across project deliverables
• Coordinating with architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, fire and life safety teams
• Supporting construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders and site inspections
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to internal design standards

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer, or eligible for reciprocity
• Ability to obtain PE in Nevada and South Carolina shortly after starting
• 10+ years of electrical design experience in heavy commercial, industrial, manufacturing, lab, warehouse or facilities environments
• Strong medium voltage and low voltage electrical design experience
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IECC and NFPA standards
• Experience with SKM, ETAP or similar power system study tools
• Experience with AmpCalc or similar cable ampacity software
• Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office experience
• Ability to support construction, commissioning and field issue resolution
