The role requires an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, active Nevada PE license (or reciprocity), and 10+ years in heavy commercial/industrial design with strong NEC/IECC knowledge. Expect broad project variety and hands-on engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Active Nevada PE license or reciprocity-eligible; NV licensure within 2 months of start.
• 10+ years in heavy commercial/industrial design with evidence of exceptional ability.
• Command of NEC, IECC, and relevant NFPA standards.
• Advanced proficiency: Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, SKM/ETAP, AmpCalc.

Responsibilities

• Own a wide range of electrical systems — MV feeds up to 34.5 kV, LV distribution, lighting, raceway, grounding, communications
• Produce permit and construction drawings as Electrical Engineer of Record
• Run short-circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies in SKM or ETAP
• Perform cable ampacity calculations (AmpCalc) to optimize beyond prescriptive NEC tables
• Drive multi-discipline coordination to complete Issue for Construction packages
• Mentor junior engineers and manage schedules and QA/QC designs
