Job summary

Actalent in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP team. You will lead electrical design efforts on institutional, commercial, and industrial projects, applying your technical expertise to deliver reliable power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems.

This permanent hybrid role requires a PE license in NC or reciprocity, 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, and proficiency with CAD or Revit.

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems.
• Experience designing building electrical systems.
• Proficiency with CAD and/or Revit.

• Self-motivated with technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for electrical system design including power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecom.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver projects for institutional, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Lead electrical design efforts and provide technical guidance through project execution.
• Perform design calculations, system evaluations, and engineering assessments.
• Deliver high-quality engineering solutions while meeting schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with PMs, architects, engineers, and clients for successful delivery.
• Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Support business development and strengthen client relationships.

Essential Skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
