Responsibilities

• Perform PCBA design analysis, reverse engineering, and troubleshooting to meet repair goals.
• Develop board repair plans with timelines and dependencies.
• Troubleshoot PCBA issues without design documents using critical thinking.
• Operate PCB testing tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot defective boards with or without design documentation.
• Collaborate with junior and senior team members in a collaborative environment.
• Willing to travel for escalations, primarily to Singapore and China.

Job description

Duration: 3-month contract with potential extension based on performance and project needs

Work environment: Primarily electrical lab environment (approximately 80%), occasional cleanroom exposure

Travel: Approximately 20-25% potential travel, primarily to Singapore and occasionally China if required (Estimated travel during the 3-month assignment could be one to two weeks total.)

Travel may be required for:

• Testing boards on fixtures located in Singapore.
• Supporting suppliers with repair processes.
• Transferring knowledge and troubleshooting methodologies.

Required:

• Mixed-signal circuit analysis experience
• Ability to create clear repair documentation and procedures

Job Description:

• Strong expertise in PCBA design analysis, reverse engineering, and diagnosis/troubleshooting to address our repair goals.
• Skilled at developing comprehensive board repair plans—including approaches, timelines, and identifying technical dependencies.
• Applying critical thinking to troubleshoot PCBA issues without design documents
• Proficient in using PCB troubleshooting equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
• Work with minimum guidance
• Good track record of on time delivery
• Candidate should be willing to travel for escalations. Primarily Singapore and China
• Attitude to persevere through tough challenges
• Good understanding on Power supplies and electrical systems will be a plus
• communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders

Candidate should be capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting defective boards, with or without relevant design documentation.
