Job summary

Rite-Hite in Dubuque, IA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and support electrical systems for custom orders, existing products, and new development. You’ll develop, modify, document, and validate controls to meet customer, manufacturing, and regulatory needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define requirements, review designs, update bills of materials, and process engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in electrical/related field and 2+ years of electrical design experience.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics, bills of materials, and engineering docs.
• Familiarity with relay-based control components and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to develop electrical solutions for custom-engineered orders, including requirements definition, design, documentation, technical review, and order support.
• Provide electrical engineering support for existing products, including production issues, customer and field concerns, component substitutions, product improvements, and root-cause investigation.
• Develop, modify, and document electrical control systems to meet product, customer, manufacturing, cost, and performance requirements.
• Participate in new product development projects by completing assigned design, analysis, documentation, prototyping, and validation activities.
• Support the product lifecycle by addressing component obsolescence, evaluating replacement components, and implementing product improvements.
