Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Atlanta, GA seeks an aerospace/electrical engineer to develop electrical test plans, substantiation reports, and manage small STC/PMA projects for electrical requirements. You will coordinate data from suppliers and respond to inquiries to support airworthiness.

You will work with DER and regulatory agencies, and interface with airline customers during flight tests and lab work to ensure compliance and safe operation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related field strongly preferred.
• Four to seven years of work experience in an engineering role.
• Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus/Boeing.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, and inspection plans.
• Draft substantiation reports and test plans/reports for cabin safety.
• Manage small STC/ PMA projects for electrical requirements and supplier data deliverables.
• Coordinate responses to inquiries and airworthiness concerns with DER; interface with certification bodies.

Job description

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans
• Develop substantiation reports and test plans / reports for aircraft cabin safety.
• Draft presentations for all meetings and manage small STC / PMA projects for electrical requirements including data deliverables from suppliers, and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant issues and airworthiness concerns with DER would be plus
• Support the relationship with certification and regulatory agencies
• Interface with airline customers in troubleshooting at flight test/at test labs/jigs

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
• Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
• Must possess some knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing a/c
• Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
• Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.
