Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to transform requirements into practical, reliable power solutions. You will balance quality, cost, and schedule while collaborating with a wide range of partners to bring designs from concept to production.

You will work with advanced engineering tools on standard and custom designs, taking ownership of complex tasks and driving continuous improvement across products and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Distribution transformer design experience (internship acceptable).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience collaborating across teams and functions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical designs on time and to quality expectations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to keep projects on track.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Support the development of special and custom designs.
• Identify and lead improvements to engineering processes and products.
• Define and document requirements for system enhancements.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment of tools and solutions.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
