Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Westlake, OH to design and support electrical and control systems across diverse product lines. Work includes creating schematics, BOMs, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to improve electrical products and processes, support testing, and lead projects on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on electrical design using CAD tools (AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical).
• Experience designing electrical systems including power distribution and control circuits.
• Experience with VFDs and power distribution products.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into reliable designs.
• Ability to perform electrical testing to validate performance.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical and control systems for multiple product lines.
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Select and test electrical components for performance and reliability.
• Review customer requirements and translate into robust designs and control strategies.
• Develop manufacturing processes and improve product designs based on feedback.
• Prepare electrical testing methods to verify performance and compliance.
