Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions; communicate effectively with supervision.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, sketches, software, and plans to determine best procedures and tools.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs electrical conduit; welds supports; installs cable and duct banks; makes terminations.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus and secures in place.
• Tests and starts up systems and checks circuit continuity for safety and compatibility.
• Observes equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments or replacements.
• May pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Works with high and low voltage systems; disassembles and repairs defective equipment.
