Job summary

Granite City Electric Supply Company-Bennington is seeking a Counter Salesperson to service customers, process orders, and help stock the counter area. You will gain product knowledge and work with multiple departments to provide value-added service and solutions for customers.

Applicants should have strong math and computer skills; electrical knowledge is a plus. The role may involve lifting up to 70 lbs and standing for long periods; safety and dependability are valued highly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Electrical knowledge from a trade school is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Service customers by taking, entering and filling orders accurately and quickly.
• Enter stock, special, direct and back orders as required by customers.
• Maintain the customer sales area in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist in stocking shelves and keeping the counter area organized for fast order filling.
• Support promotions and branch events as they occur.
