Job summary

Rexel USA is looking for a Counter Sales Representative Union to join our Schwing Electrical Supply team in Hempstead, NY. This early professional position focuses on providing prompt, courteous service and processing orders efficiently while supporting showroom and stock readiness.

You will develop product knowledge, strengthen customer relationships, and assist with daily branch operations, including restocking and shipping tasks, to ensure smooth counter service.

Qualifications

• Customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Previous branch experience preferred.
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
• High School or GED - Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders or returns.
• Assist in driving electrical distribution sales for our counter business and developing new and existing customer relationships.
• Stay informed and educated on product knowledge.
• Inform manager of any potentially hazard or elevated situation pertaining to safety or the satisfaction of a customer.
• Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized.
• May be required to perform other job functions within a branch when required including but not limited to inside sales, preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
