Job summary

World Wide Professional Solutions is seeking a Cost Engineer - Electrical to join our on-site team in Peoria, Arizona. You will provide independent cost oversight for electrical construction packages, perform forecasts, and evaluate bids on a major semiconductor project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of cost engineering or quantity surveying experience in electrical construction.
• Experience with electrical cost estimating, bid evaluation, and change management.
• Familiarity with earned value management and procurement processes.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines, and equipment schedules.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner’s representative cost engineer for electrical construction packages and validate contractor estimates and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain monthly cost reports showing variances, commitments, and forecast at completion.
• Reconcile project controls data with purchase orders, work orders, and invoices.
• Analyze funding requirements with estimates, cash flow, and accruals.
• Communicate risks, scope growth, procurement exposure, and potential overruns to leadership.
• Review contractor pricing, change orders, and progress payments for compliance.
• Support bid phase management, RFP development, and subcontractor selection.
• Validate payments by comparing billed progress to installed quantities and schedule of values.
• Track change logs, contingency exposure, and forecast accuracy.
• Coordinate with project controls, engineering, construction management, and procurement teams.
• Assist with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, or Prolog.
