Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of cost engineering or related experience in electrical construction.
• Experience supporting electrical construction packages on semiconductor, microelectronics, or complex industrial projects.
• Knowledge of cost estimating, subcontract administration, and procurement.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Power BI preferred.
• Onsite work with owner, engineering, construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's representative cost engineer for electrical construction packages and validate estimates, forecasts, and final costs.
• Develop and maintain monthly cost reports identifying variances, value of work, accruals, changes, and forecast at completion.
• Reconcile project controls data with the owner's fiscal systems, including POs, commitments, accruals, invoices, and change orders.
• Analyze project funding requirements through estimates, forecasts, trend analysis, cash flow, and accruals.
• Maintain realistic cost forecasts and communicate risks, scope growth, productivity concerns, procurement exposure, and overruns.
• Review contractor and trade partner estimates for completeness, reasonableness, labor, material pricing, and schedule effects.
• Support bid phase management, RFQ development, bid leveling, and subcontractor selection.
