Job summary

Lamb Weston is seeking a skilled electrician to understand and maintain plant electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and install new equipment. You will work on PLCs, SCADA, and motor control circuits to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, adhering to NEC codes, and performing preventive maintenance while coordinating with maintenance teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and relevant electrical experience.
• Lock-out/Tag-out and Sanitation certification required; ongoing training provided.
• Must maintain Lock-Out Tag-Out, Arc flash, Electrical Shock hazard.
• Certificate from approved 2-year trade school or equivalent in electrical trade.
• Knowledge of 4160 VAC, 480 VAC, 277 VAC, 240 VAC, 120 VAC systems; AC/DC drives and motors.
• Understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs (SLC/ControlLogix) and plant power distribution.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must pass Instrumentation Test.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, electronic, and instrumentation installations and repairs.
• Support contractors to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
• Maintain, repair, and install plant lighting and instrumentation systems including VFDs and sensors.
• Program and maintain PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Use prints, schematics, and NEC code to complete tasks.
• Handle all electrical line calls on assigned shift and complete work orders.
• Ensure spare parts availability and maintain electrical prints and schematics.
• Provide training and support for new electricians.
• Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
