Zusammenfassung

Electrical Automation Services seeks a hands-on Controls Technician for on-site work in Elgin, IL. You will install, configure and service photo eyes, sensors, PLC I/O modules and wiring across a 3‑phase power environment.

You will diagnose and repair analog/digital controls, program PLCs and HMIs, and modify ladder logic. Experience with Profibus, serial and industrial Ethernet is valued for preventive maintenance of conveyors and robotics.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience working with PLCs.
• Experience with packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with safety procedures (lockout/tagout) preferred.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting servo systems preferred.

Aufgaben

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and related wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells; program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Modify ladder logic; adjust PLC control systems and graphic HMIs.
• Troubleshoot communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose equipment issues from electrical schematics; perform preventive maintenance on laser guided vehicles and conveyors.

Location: This position is on-site in Elgin, IL. Please apply only if you live within 37 miles of Elgin.Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
