Job summary

Engineered Profiles LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to support electrical and controls systems across production lines. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving power circuits, control circuits, instrumentation, and automation equipment, with emphasis on relay logic troubleshooting.

The position requires a 2-year technical degree, experience with Allen-Bradley PLC hardware, and strong reading of schematics.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on relay logic troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
Ability to safely work on electrical systems up to 480V.
Hands-on experience with VFDs, instrumentation, and motor control circuits.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, etc.
Solid communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V.
Diagnose and repair power circuits, control circuits, safety circuits, relays, and field devices.
Troubleshoot and replace VFDs, sensors, encoders, and instrumentation.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and controls equipment.
Maintain and update electrical schematics and documentation.
Support production / maintenance teams during downtime events.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams on production issues, Capex Projects, & continuous improvement projects.
Follow all electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Willing to work at heights.
